Iteration and development of my master's collection 'Clarissa'.
Clarissa is evocative of memories from my late nana. The collection draws upon line dancing and wrapping up in a towel after an ice-cold dip - two opposites enmeshed, a myriad of what was.

Model: Madison Le Marquand
Viscose jersey - deadstock from Levana, purchased through the Fabric Store Wellington.
Inspiration took form through wrapping up in a towel, an everyday routine. The twists are evident in securing an undraped item into something wearable: racerback, the dress signposts elegance, and an unfussed approach.
Cowboy hat:
Fabric scraps leftover from CMT, twisted by hand to form yarns, simultaneously stitched into the silhouette of a cowboy hat.

Design Development
Initial sketching by hand, pattern and construction development, prototype one and final pattern on CLO3D.
The design process was explored through physical prototyping, 3D rendering, and pattern making. CLO3D was used to create the initial patterns, which gave dialogue between the pattern making and the garment on the avatar.
